Newsletter to Clients - Solicitation.
August 25, 1980
It is not improper for an attorney to send his clients a copy of a quarterly newsletter addressing general aspects of Virginia law under the auspices of his firm's name. [See II: DR:2-101; DR:2-103 by analogy and EC:2-1 through EC:2-5.] Moreover, it would not be improper for a law firm to send letters on law firm letterhead to its clients advising them of legal developments affecting previous work performed for those clients.
