Under circumstances where a judge calls a criminal defendant to the stand, refuses to permit the defendant's attorney to advise the defendant as to the risk of perjury and elicits testimony from the defendant which is perjurious in the opinion of the defendant's attorney, DR:7-102(B)(1) of the Virginia Code of Professional Responsibility requires the defendant's attorney to disclose to the tribunal acts of perjury committed by the attorney's client before the tribunal.
