Virginia Trust Account for Virginia Attorney With Office Outside State.

An attorney whose office is in the District of Columbia but who generates the majority of his practice from Virginia clients can satisfy his obligations under Canon 9 by opening an attorney-client trust account in Virginia with a bank that will agree to comply with DR:9-103(B)(1). This account would receive trust funds generated by Virginia clients. [See DR: 9-102, DR:9-103(B)(1)]
