LEO: Letterhead — Foreign Attorneys — LE Op. 762
Letterhead — Foreign Attorneys — Multi-Jurisdictional Practice.
January 29, 1986
It is not improper to form a multi-jurisdictional firm where all attorneys in the firm are licensed to practice law in various jurisdictions, but not all are licensed in Virginia or any other single jurisdiction. It is necessary, however, that all enumerations of the firm's attorneys in letterhead and in other permissible listings clearly state the jurisdictional limitations of the firm's members and associates.
