LEO: Conflict of Interest - Domestic Relations LE Op. 764
Conflict of Interest - Domestic Relations - Subsequent Representation Against One Formerly Represented by Prior Firm.
January 29, 1986
A client was represented by law firm A in a divorce proceeding. After the divorce was obtained by the client's spouse, attorney 2 joined law firm A. During attorney 2's employment with the firm, the client had no contact with the firm. Thereafter, attorney 2 left law firm A and joined law firm B. The former spouse of the client requested attorney 2 to represent her in a petition for increased child support. Such representation is not improper. [ DR:4-101]
