Lawyer Referral - Insurance Carrier.

It is not improper per se for an attorney to recommend a private " referral system" to insurance carriers who issue long-term disability policies as long as the provisions of DR:2-103 are complied with. [ DR: 2-101, DR:2-103; LE Op. 627 and LE Op. 579]
It is not improper for an attorney to notify long-term disability carriers that he has moved to Virginia and has "limited his practice to representation of social security disability claimants" as long as the provisions of DR:1-101, DR:2-101, DR:2-102 and DR:2-103 are complied with. [ DR:2-101, DR:2-102, DR:2-103]
It is not improper per se for an attorney to include his curriculum vitae in the notice to the insurance carrier as long as there are no untruthful statements in his curriculum vitae. [ EC:2-7]
