About the Speakers

Mikhael D. Charnoff, Charnoff Simpson PLLC / Vienna

Mike Charnoff graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1999 and clerked for the Hon. Frank Schwelb of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.  He has appeared in more than 35 Circuit Courts throughout Virginia and has tried more than 200 cases to verdict, including dozens of jury trials.  He practices a wide variety of civil litigation, including significant personal injury, medical malpractice, and other professional liability cases.

Edward L. Weiner, Weiner, Spivey & Miller, PLC / Fairfax

Edward L. Weiner is the founding partner of Weiner, Spivey & Miller, PLC in Fairfax, Virginia. He received his JD in 1980 from the University of Richmond and his LLM in International Law from Georgetown University in 1993.

For the last 42 years, Mr. Weiner has passionately advocated for plaintiffs injured due to the negligence of others.

• Served as lead counsel for the hearing-impaired community against an international retailer, resulting in the implementation of a new training program in all stores across North America
• In a case against a Catholic Archdiocese and two priests who had been transferred overseas, Mr. Weiner advocated for a survivor of repeated sexual abuse
• Represented a severely injured survivor of a car attack by a white supremacist during the Charlottesville Rally
• Currently representing two families against a ghost gun manufacturer and distributor for the wrongful death of their two children
