Laura M. Murray, National Association of Realtors / Glen Allen
Laura Murray is the General Counsel of Virginia REALTORS®. She joined the Virginia REALTORS® staff in July 2014 and was appointed General Counsel in October 2017. She oversees all legal matters and manages the development of legal resources for the association. In addition to her duties as General Counsel, she has presented continuing legal education courses for attorneys in Virginia and is the author of the Real Estate Brokerage chapter in the Virginia Continuing Legal Education’s Real Estate Transactions in Virginia book.
Prior to joining Virginia REALTORS®, Ms. Murray worked at the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS® for four years.
Ms. Murray earned her Juris Doctorate from the George Mason University School of Law, with a specialty certificate in regulatory law.
Sarah Louppe Petcher, S&T Law Group PLLC / Falls Church
Sarah Louppe Petcher was born and raised in Paris, France. After a stint as a family law attorney in Fairfax, she became General Counsel of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors where she fell in love with real estate. During her tenure at NVAR, she not only learned about running a real estate association but came to understand the full picture of the real estate industry in the U.S. With this unique perspective, she partnered up with Toula Gross to form S&T Law Group and the 1031 Exchange Group with the goal to provide services to realtor associations, real estate brokerages, real estate agents, and members of the public involved in real estate transactions.
She received her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Northwestern University, and her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
