A pre-recorded streaming VIDEO replay of the July 2024 webcast, The Unwritten Rules of Divorce Practice.
Experienced family law practitioners Julie Hottle Day and David Masterman have spoken regularly on the written rules of divorce practice, but in this presentation, they share their views on the unwritten rules. Ranging from courtesies to the court and opposing counsel to staying safe and sane in the daily routine of a family lawyer, there are many things not learned from books.
Other unwritten rules relate to due diligence and organizing your cases. The speakers suggest when, how, and why to exercise due diligence in developing and organizing the facts of your case, from investigation of the facts to deploying them in mediation, at trial, and after the case has been resolved.
The emphasis of this seminar is on real-life situations in which the choices made by the lawyer will improve the practice of law in general and the service to individual clients.
