Blockchain is the relatively new technology on which all cryptocurrencies are built. Learn about the unique legal implications of this technology in its many applications, including a focus on cryptocurrency and the law.
New laws relating to blockchain technology and virtual currency are beginning to pop up in the Virginia Code. Bitcoin and blockchain technology are becoming a part of many areas of practice, making it an imperative that Virginia attorneys become aware of their significance and the legal issues they present.
Securities and technology lawyers Daniel Payne and Ken Cuccinelli will explain the history of Bitcoin—the still-dominant cryptocurrency that brought blockchain technology to the fore—and how cryptocurrencies and non-cryptocurrency applications have exploded in the 15 years since Bitcoin began.
