A pre-recorded streaming VIDEO replay of one session from the April 2024 webcast seminar, 40th Annual Advanced Family Law.
Cosponsored with the Family Law Section of the Virginia State Bar
Family law mediation is only gaining in popularity throughout the Commonwealth in helping parties resolve conflicts. This presentation focuses on how proper preparation by the mediator, lawyers, and clients can result in more satisfying outcomes and less stress for everyone involved. It covers best practices during the pre-mediation phase, while in session, and in post-mediation follow-up. It also explores techniques for navigating through impasses. A short lecture is given by a judge-mediator, a lawyer-mediator, and a child specialist, followed by a panel discussion.
