Cancellation Policy: Cancellation/transfer requests will be honored until 5:00 p.m. the day preceding the seminar. You will, however, be charged $40 if you cancel or transfer your registration to a different seminar after the link to the materials has been e-mailed by Virginia CLE®.
Full refunds or transfers are available up to two days after a webcast in the unlikely event that you experience technical difficulties.
MCLE Credit Caveat: The MCLE Board measures credits by the time you spend in attendance. If you enter a seminar late or leave it early, or both, you must reflect those adjustments accurately in the credits you report on your credit reporting form. A code will be given at the end of the seminar, which must be written on your MCLE form.

Hon. Pamela Meade Sargent, United States Magistrate Judge, Western District of Virginia / Abingdon
The Honorable Pamela Meade Sargent serves as United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Virginia in Abingdon. Prior to her appointment to the bench in 1997, Judge Sargent was in private practice concentrating on civil and criminal litigation. Judge Sargent is a former law clerk to the late Honorable H. E. Widener, Jr., U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She also is a former member of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and served on the NCCUSL committee that drafted the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. She graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review and the Order of the Coif. She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech.
Brittany Haddox, Haddox Law / Salem
Brittany Haddox is Managing Partner of Haddox Law in Salem, Virginia. She has focused her career on helping employees and small employers in matters related to discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour. Ms. Haddox is a graduate of Virginia Tech and Washington and Lee University School of Law. During law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Clifford R. Weckstein, former Chief Judge of the 23rd Judicial Circuit of Virginia. Ms. Haddox has practiced throughout Virginia representing employees and small employers since that time, including navigating many discovery and ESI issues along the way.

Micah Schwartz is a litigator with Williams Mullen. He focuses on employment, workplace safety, and education cases. He represents clients in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. He also conducts internal investigations and represents clients under investigation by government agencies. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia.
