A pre-recorded streaming VIDEO replay of the July 2024 webcast, Representing the Traumatized Client.
Every lawyer and legal professional will encounter traumatized clients during the course of their careers, but how many are mislabeled as a “difficult” client? This seminar explains the biology of trauma on the brain and body, and how trauma translates into symptoms legal professionals encounter daily.
Presenters Michael F. Barnes and Patrick A. Barnes discuss the trauma-informed legal practice and what steps legal practitioners can take to improve their relationships with clients, avoid excessive re-traumatization, and combat compassion fatigue and secondary trauma within the law firm.
This course is intended for any legal professional interested in transforming their practice by becoming informed about trauma, its symptoms, and its effects on the lawyer, the client, and legal staff.
